Biohub is a biomedical research organization, founded in 2016 and supported by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, that builds AI models of biology alongside data-generation, imaging, and laboratory technologies. After announcing in November 2025 that the EvolutionaryScale team would join it, Biohub now publishes the ESM protein models and runs the Biohub Platform for using them.1 3 2 6

Notable documented facts

On November 6, 2025, Biohub announced that the team at EvolutionaryScale, a public benefit company that developed the ESM3 and ESM C protein models, would join Biohub. EvolutionaryScale's website now states that it is part of Biohub, and the ESM GitHub repository and model repositories are published under Biohub accounts.1 8 6
In the same November 2025 announcement, Biohub said it was making three models (VariantFormer, CryoLens, and scLDM) freely available on its virtual cells platform.1
